October 15 is the date! We launch our AT/IT Guide with Audit and Resources toolkit. Children and young people with a vision impairment need to become DIGITAL WARRIORS to fully access the curriculum and become independent learners. This requires the right equipment and a structured plan for learning skills over time.
For the last three years, Féach has been developing Assistive Technology (AT) / IT Guides along with an Audit Toolkit and resources for students at the 1st, 3rd, and 6th Class levels. These resources are 100% based on lived experience, designed with input from teachers, SNAs, parents, and students now thriving in college.
This webinar will cover the AT/IT skills a student with vision impairment needs to ensure they can access the curriculum independently. It will also detail the importance of a Learning Media Assessment (LMA) to ensure the student has the right technology for them and can use a suite of tools to support their learning.
Speakers are Eithne Walsh who will walk you through the Guide and Toolkit and Edel O’Doherty Vision Ireland who will talk through the LMA and various strategies to assist your digital warrior. @followers
