Conference September 28th

People with vision impairments often face misconceptions. Many assume that if someone isn’t using a cane or guide dog, they don’t have a disability, or that they’re limited to certain jobs. Some even believe that blind individuals can’t pursue education or that their abilities are inherently limited. These misunderstandings lead to their talents being underestimated. We aim to change this narrative by showcasing the incredible achievements of individuals like Bobbie Hickey, proving that vision impairment does not define one’s potential.
Bobbie Hickey is a shining example of breaking barriers and defying expectations. As the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion People Officer at Mr Price, she lives boldly, showing the world that blindness is not a limitation. From boating to horseback riding, cooking, and sharing her journey on platforms like YouTube and TEDx, Bobbie challenges outdated beliefs and redefines what’s possible.
On September 28th, Bobbie will share her story as she’s been doing. Offering insights into life with vision impairment—what to do, what not to do, the challenges, wins, and more. “Learning from those who have walked the path before us isn’t just valuable—it’s essential.”
Join us on September 28th to see life through the eyes of people with vision impairment. Don’t miss out—our two-for-one sale ends soon!
