“Our Vision, Our Voice” – What an incredible project this is!
This project centres around giving young vision-impaired students the same opportunities as their sighted peers by enhancing their chances of landing a job. Despite sitting alongside their sighted peers for four years or more, these students face significant challenges when it comes to employment.
In the spirit of #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs, we have partnered with CPL Recruitment to give these students a fighting chance. Our team members, Eithne and Niamh, met with Rachel and Cathy from CPL Recruitment, who will be working closely with a group of our young college students. They will help them hone their CV and interview skills, followed by a mock interview to put their new skills to the test. Additionally, this group will collaborate to create a guide for Higher Education Institutions based on their experiences.
We are confident this initiative will make a significant difference, and we can’t wait to see the positive outcomes!
