Creative Writing Workshop Nov 2014

Do You Love Words?

Do you enjoy expressing yourself through words? Do you devour books? Then why not give creative writing a go. NCBI’s Rehabilitative Training Centre have teamed up with visually impaired creative writer Derbhile Graham for a one-day workshop which aims to introduce people to the techniques of creative writing and give them the tools to write their own stories.

The workshop will take place at NCBI’s Rehabilitative training Centre, on Whitworth Road, on Saturday 8th November and will run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with lunch and tea breaks

During the workshop, you will

•Play with words.

•Eat oranges (there’s a good reason for this, which you’ll find out about if you come to the workshop).

•Create characters.

•Build new worlds.

•Take your characters on exciting adventures

There are six places available on the workshop and the cost is €25, including lunch. We recommend that participants bring their own laptops to ensure accessibility, but there are fully accessible computers available at the centre. You are also free to use pen and paper, if you wish to do so.

To book your place on what we know will be a very unique workshop, contact Stuart Lawler at NCBI on 087 992 6360, or email stuart.lawler@ncbi.ie
